Law of Attraction: Being Selfish to Improve Your Vibration & Attraction

May 21st, 2009 by Kalyn
Authetically Selfish LOA

Authetically Selfish LOA

Kalyn, did you say that being Selfish will increase my ability to use LOA (Law of Attraction)?Yes! Absolutely! However, there is an important detail that you can’t miss here. Being Selfish with a capital “S” will increase your vibration and, therefore, what LOA brings to you. On the other hand, being selfish with a lower case “s” will decrease your vibration and de-enhance the energetic vibration LOA uses in your attracting.

Let’s start by talking about the difference between being Selfish and being selfish:
You need to begin by recognizing that your life, your choices and your feelings can come from one of two places within you; they can come from your authenticity or your preconceived self.  By preconceived self I mean that false self or ego self. More specifically I mean that part you that has ideas and beliefs about what should be.
Too many people have a lot of ideas and beliefs that define life and how it ought to work. For example, here in the US people, generally speaking, believe that babies should sleep in cribs by their selves, while in Japan generally speaking, people believe babies should sleep with their parents or grandparents, sharing a bed.
Regardless of where or how you believe babies should sleep, what’s truly important to notice is that the actions we take regarding where we put our baby to sleep can come from our Self, our authenticity, or our self, our preconceived self that is made up of our beliefs. In this example if a mother made her decision from her Self then she would seek out the authentic way to put her baby to sleep. Instead of focusing on her preconceived belief about how society thinks her baby should sleep she would do what was right to her. This means that she would make the choice that fit her present needs and her baby’s. She would make a choice in her Golden Flow ™ such that no matter where the baby slept or who the baby slept with, the mother would feel peaceful, loving and calm, having done the right thing for herself and her joyful baby.
Having made the right choice, she will have activated the energy of her Self. This authentic choice will automatically connect her to her Source Energy, raising her energy and increasing the beneficial things that LOA will now bring into her life.
On the other hand, here in the US a common experience for new mothers happens when she forces herself to leave her child crying in their crib as she closes the door and begins to cry herself, believing that she is doing the right thing by putting the child to sleep alone.  Because she has based her choice on information she has been taught in the past, as opposed to her present experience, her concept of what it means to be a good mother is lowering her energetic vibration, which is causing the pain and the crying for her baby and for herself.

Change your thinking to become more Selfish
What is most important in any situation in life is for you to always feel as though you are doing your best and making choices that are beneficial. The only way to do this is to focus on what you need in the now moment. This means placing your authentic Self first, which your past cannot define. People often confuse this with being self-centered and they think that this would mean indulging their whims without considering others.
However, the truth is that being indulgent and careless is not the same as being authentic. Indulgence and self-centeredness are only present when we are basing our thoughts, feelings and beliefs on our past.  People only act selfishly and self-centered when painful past experiences are making them feel unloved, therefore they are unwilling to share because they are afraid there won’t be enough for them; when their past experience showed them that people are unfriendly so that they assume the person they are meeting now will be the same way, causing them to hold back. Living from the past this way is what causes anyone to miss the now moment and lose their authenticity.
When you are in the flow of your authenticity you are more concerned with what you are experiencing now: what you need, what your loved ones need or what a situation needs.  In your authenticity you are making mature and wise choices.
Coming from the energies of maturity and wisdom can’t help but increase your energetic vibration. Become Selfish, authentic, and the Golden Flow™ of your now moment will connect you to your Source Energy. Your Source Energy is an endless stream of abundance, love and wisdom, and offering this vibration for LOA to attract your life from will create a full and divine life for you.

Inside Abundance

May 4th, 2009 by Kalyn

Universal Law: As within, so without-

dsc03851Is abundance something that comes from without? Without meaning outside of you.

People look for abundance outside of their selves.

They think it comes from money they earn, which is true and untrue.

They think it comes from doing hard work, which is true and untrue.

They think it depends on how much money there is in the world, which is true and untrue.

They think that there may not be enough for them, which is true and untrue.

You have to know what Abundance is if you hope to know where it comes from. Abundance is an energy, not printed cash. Therefore, abundance comes in many forms - you can have an abundance of money, of love, of food, friends, joy and so on.

People often think of abundance in terms of money, which only makes sense. However, if you limit the energy of abundance to making money then you will find yourself on the wrong track because you will be coming from without.

Abundance is an energy that we have to tune into and allow in our lives. It is a natural flow from our Source Energy and a flow that we need. When we don’t limit abundance to money from without then we open to the natural abundance that our Source has for us. We all experience some form of abundance in our lives, even if you don’t think that you do. You can’t help it, it is a natural part of our universe. The trick is to begin to recognize this. As you choose to recognize that you do experience some form of abundnace in your life then you begin to tap into this energy.

For example, my three year old daughter, who took the photo of her feet above, experiences abundance in many forms - though not necessarily monetarily. Sure, at the age of three it’s true that she doesn’t have money, but when she wants to hold money she knows where to find it. In other words, my daughter experiences abundance in many forms. One form is in her ability to take an abundance of photos (thank God for digital film/memory cards!) She doesn’t find many limits in her life: unlimited photos, unlimited laughter, playing and so on.

Although some people may not be in an allowing place to recognize that my daughter is experiencing abundance, hopefully you will because herein lies the secret of this universal law! When we experience abundance within, which my daughter does, then we can’t help but find abundance without. When we are joyful inside and when we allow the energy of abundance to come into us then we slowly (but hopefully quickly) and surely begin to find abundance reflected outside ourselves.

In part this is because we are holding the energy of abundance and, therefore, acitivating the Law of Attraction to bring abundance into our lives. It is similar, but the Law as within, so without more specifically stated that what you are within yourself you will see reflected outside of yourself; it’s not about what you will attract to yoruself but rather about what already is here within yourself and outside of yourself. It is a mirror.

What is within yourself? Are you finding the abundance you desire inside and outside of yourself? If not, realize what abundance is and begin to allow the energy of this aspect of what you are within yourself so that what is then reflected back to you, as Who your truly are, will match the natural abundance that you truly are.

Be Willing to Use the Law of Attraction

May 3rd, 2009 by Kalyn

The Law of Attraction abides by your energy. If your energy is unwilling, even if the unwillingness is buried deep down in your beliefs,  then your energy will not truly flow in the direction of what you wish to attract into your life.On the other hand, if you find that you have allowed the energy of unwillingness to flow within you, then you will find that your energy cannot help but attract what you desire and dream of.butterflymosaic1

The Law Of Attraction And The Flow of Life

April 29th, 2009 by Mike Griffin

The law of attraction is part of life, you need merely recognize it.  Masaru Emoto who is known for his studies on the effect of thought on ice crystals and whose work was seen in the movie What the Bleep developed a philosophy about life at a young age after he nearly drowned in the ocean. He told his mother what had happened:

…she gave me some advice based on her ability to swim and float in water: “you can float if you just give in,” she said. She said if I let the water lift me instead of trying to resist it, it would pick me up and carry me.

These words have stuck with me over the years. Since that time, I have I try to let myself go with the flow as I gently move in the direction that I wish my life to take me. –Masaru Emoto in “The Secret Life of Water.”

What a life lesson, instead of fighting and resisting relax and let the water lift you and be in the flow.  The struggle causes you to sink but if you allow the water to lift you, if you allow life to lift you, if you get out of turmoil, then you allow the law of attraction to operate.  This philosophy is not unlike what Ester Hicks channels with Abraham. They talk of struggling to paddle the boat up stream, to paddle against the current when everything you want is down stream, if you’d just turn the boat around: life would be easy.

Often we struggle because we are doing not what we, deep in our hearts, want to do, but rather what has been defined by our circumstance, by those around us, our life has become a series of musts.  With all of these musts life becomes difficult and we flayl and life is hard.

People flayl around when trouble hits instead of letting life lift them.  They paddle up stream instead of down.  Ask yourself - how can I let life lift me like Emoto’s water.  People have said “let go and let God.”   Bob Proctor talks about the law of non-resistance in the 11 Forgotten Laws course.  He says 9 out of 10 people violate it.  Resistance is a signal that you are moving into a new area and what you resist persists.  Bob says, “instead of reacting, respond…  let go of resistance, just let it go.”  Reacting is a habit to respond you have to think.  When you react whatever it is causeing you to react wins, when you respond - you win.  Emoto’s water: to think is to let the water lift you.  In life: to think is to let life lift you.  Can you believe that about life, that it will lift you?  That is the law of attraction see the thing and be drawn or lifted toward it.

Susan Boyle: I Dreamed A Dream - The Law of Attraction

April 16th, 2009 by Mike Griffin

Susan Boyle had a dream that she kept alive, she had a vision nurtured through the years and she acted on the dream in the face of impossible odds. Check this out:

I would argue that this is the law of attraction manifest in a big-big way. It is what Wallace Wattles writes about in The Science of Getting Rich, from Chapter 11 - Acting In The Certain Way:

By thought you can cause the gold in the hearts of the mountains to be impelled toward you; but it will not mine itself, refine itself, coin itself into double eagles, and come rolling along the roads seeking its way into your pocket.

Under the impelling power of the Supreme Spirit, men’s affairs will be so ordered that some one will be led to mine the gold for you; other men’s business transactions will be so directed that the gold will be brought toward you, and you must so arrange your own business affairs that you may be able to receive it when it comes to you. Your thought makes all things, animate and inanimate, work to bring you what you want; but your personal activity must be such that you can rightly receive what you want when it reaches you.

I can envision that Susan Boyle’s dream had something to do with “Britan’s Got Talent” becoming a successful program so that she could have the opportunity that she clearly deserves.

Can you believe that about The Law of Attraction? That “under the impelling power of the Supreme Spirit, men’s affairs will be so ordered…” that other peoples business transactions were directed such that “Britain’s Got Talent” came to be so Susan Boyle could give this great performance and achieve her dream. Can you believe that? Can you believe it for yourself?

The same could be said of an earlier performance by Paul Potts. The same thing, Potts had a dream…

Claim Your Birthright: The Law of Attraction

April 8th, 2009 by Mike Griffin

What Is My Birthright?

If your parents did it right when you were a child they would have told you how wonderful you were and created dreams and visions and goals in you. They would have started you off on the law of attraction by setting some great vibrations into motion. Your parents would have used word pictures to describe the limitless heights you could achieve as you grew and became an adult. This is our birthright to have the vision in our minds as we grow so there is a natural progression into living the law of attraction (more on this progression later).

The tradition goes back to Biblical times and beyond. In the days of the Patriarchs one child or another was always getting some sort of blessing handed down and those blessings manifested in various ways in their lives. (Some studies discuss Abraham’s blessing received directly from God Himself and about how that is our blessing too. But that is not our topic here, perhaps in another post.)

The father would touch the child and speak the blessing which included not only an inheritance but also a vision of what that child would attain. And so the child had the first element of the law of attraction for which he was grateful, a blessing was and is real. Following naturally from the blessing comes the fountain of ideas that both pour out of and are collected by our minds concerning the vision, and this is the second element of the law of attraction. What remains is the third element: the child takes action. And all of this causes him to take action in a bold way to bring the vision to pass. Such bold action brings the universe into harmony and causes it to conspire with him to bring it to pass.

These three things are our birthright; these three things are also the components of the law of attraction.

The Law of Attraction (Vibration Set Into Motions)

With a clear vision from the blessing and not doubting these stories played out and the visions came to pass. One of Abraham’s blessings was to become a great nation (Gen 12:1-3). Abraham held this vision and it was fulfilled and it was a vision so powerful that it passed on to the following generations. Abraham had been called Abram to the point of this blessing and from the time of the blessing on his name was changed to Abraham. In Hebrew Abraham meant “father of many nations.” So the vision was not only one nation but many nations.

So Abraham was given a vision and he was given a mantra if you will. His name was a constant reminder of the vision. The vision and his very name set the vibrations of the law of attraction into motion.

Although Abraham and his wife were old they had a child (Abraham also had a child with his wife’s maid). And so were born Issac and Ishmael. Without getting into theology both sons went on to be fathers of great nations. And we see a great vision not only providing purpose for the one receiving it but in this case passing through and inspiring his children and their children on into the generations and still continuing today.

This is a tradition that is common in all religious traditions, in all belief systems. Some how we’ve lost the meaning that was attached to the events and they have become meaningless stories for most of us rather than rich stories with a multitude of meanings intended to strike a different chord in each of us so we can each find our unique vibration.

The Science of Getting Rich

We forget this birthright that is part of us and which was passed to us through the generations. Setting the law of attraction into motion is as timeless as the Bible. In other posts I’ve described how it is in fact a natural in-built instinctive process that most of us lose contact with as we grow up. The law of attraction is our birthright but most of us have been robbed and we will continue to be robbed until we can accept that such a simple idea, such a simple series of steps can profoundly alter our lives to the good.

The Science of Getting Rich can help you reclaim your birthright. From the above discussion you will recognize that the book does not create a truth or a law, but rather it recognizes it, it points it out in a very clear way so that it becomes again accessible to those who would receive it, those who would receive their birthright.

The Science of Getting Rich will help you free your thinking to allow you to again harmonize with natural law for happiness, success, and the good things in life that are your birthright. These things are your birthright but you must claim them from the inside.

The ball is in your court - you are about to tap knowledge that will take you to new levels but only if you make it a part of yourself and act on it. Your birthright is to attract and manifest. It was born into you take charge, take responsibility from this time on and claim it.

How Can I Claim My Birthright?

Begin to follow the three simple steps: vision, ideas, action. The Science of Getting Rich will help build faith in you that it really is that simple. It will help you remove the limits of what you suppose might be possible. Since your parents probably didn’t provide the blessing, the vision, The Science of Getting Rich will help you find the inspiration (the spirit within) that will help you create or perhaps just discover a vision that is worthy of you, worthy of your life, and a vision that will create such vibrations that will perhaps span the countless generations who will follow you.

Facing The Giants: When You Are Ready To Quit?

April 7th, 2009 by Mike Griffin

Remember the dream you had, did you just lose sight of it, was it just too difficult? We give ourselves a lot of reasons for not following through on the things that seemed like a good idea. Maybe we are trying out the law of attraction and well, we think, maybe it really doesn’t work and this is just too hard. If we give up enough we set the pattern of sabotaging ourselves every time. If we give up…

Follow through on your good ideas, on your self-improvement plans, on your dreams. You can do more than you thought you could. And that voice inside, saying, “keep going, don’t quit, it’s all heart from here, come on, your very best, keep going…..”

Is This Insane? SETI Looking For An Alien Message In A Bottle

April 6th, 2009 by Mike Griffin

SETI was originally part of NASA, now an independant organization and funded by donations is searching the universe for life.  You’ll hear that the search for life in the universe is almost entirely an American inititive.

SETI is trying to receive messages from aliens on far planets - an electronic message in a bottle. This is a great interview with SETI’s Seth Shostak. Shostak mostly seriously, I think, wants to beam the World Wide Web into outer space. You’ll be intrigued by his rational for sending the World Wid Web from Google’s servers, complete with all the pornography out to the stars (about 26 minutes into the interview).

He discusses how astronomy has caused a shift in the beliefs here on earth - Galileo and his telescope showing that man and the earth weren’t the center of everything and causing shifts in even religious beliefs.

Seth Shostak

Wikipedia says: Search for Extra-Terrestrial Intelligence (SETI) is the collective name for a number of activities to detect intelligent extraterrestrial life. The general approach of SETI projects is to survey the sky to detect the existence of transmissions from a civilization on a distant planet – an approach widely endorsed by the scientific community as hard science (see, e.g., claims in Skeptical Inquirer [1]). The United States Government contributed to SETI early on, but recent work has been primarily funded by private sources.

SETI has a podcast called: Are We Alone, Science Radio For Thinking Species, the show today is called “Thinking Klingon” and past shows from subjects such as the chemistry of love to the human brain.

What do you think?  Is the whole idea insane or is there something to it?  What form do you think aliens will be?  Will they be spiritual beings and are they already here as voiced by Abraham and Seth?   Are there both spiritual and physical beings?

You can get Seth Shostak’s book from Amazon: Confessions of an Alien Hunter: A Scientist’s Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence

What Does Tony Robbins Have In Common With Dr. Norman Vincent Peale and Denis Waitley?

April 1st, 2009 by Mike Griffin

What Does Tony Robbins Have In Common With Dr. Norman Vincent Peale and Dr. Denis Waitley?

Could it just be that Robbins, Peale, and Waitley are great motivators?  That would be too obvious, but you will figure out the answer shortly.

As A Man Thinketh haw a great message for everyone.  It was written by James Allen in 1902 and is based on his meditations on Proverbs 23:7.  Your mind is like a garden, it will bring forth.  If you cultivate it, it will produce good results, results that you want.  If you let anything grow then your results will be the same as if you let your garden grow - you will get weeds.

It is important that you cultivate your vital thoughts.  This is a law that is fixed you reap what you sew.  “As a man thinketh in his heart so is he.”  There is great insight to be gained from doing your own meditation on that verse.

Circumstances grow out of your thoughts, when you sincerely seek to remedy the problems in your character, which was produced by your thoughts, you will see a rapid improvement in your circumstances.  Right thinking draws you to a life of prosperity and achievement.  Keep your mind on the things you seek.  This is another statement of the law of attraction.  The book contains all the elements of the law and it’s study will help you advance in that study.

Allen talks of mental harmony where your mind and thoughts are not torn by competing ideas.  When we allow ideas to be planted by others, by media, then we are not being good gardeners and may even become share croppers with others controlling us by the messages we allowed them to implant.

Limiting beliefs plague everyman and as we cultivate our thoughts we need to examine these.  Beliefs can both protect us and hold us back.  That is why we must understand why we hold our beliefs and should we keep them..

Allen says: “A man is literally what he thinks, his character being the complete sum of all his thoughts.”  That is very clear and one of the main themes of the book. Our thoughts bring our environment and our environment becomes a looking glass into our minds.  If we cannot make ourselves do the things we think we should do then we need to look deeper in to what is being planted in our subconscious.  We have to cultivate the beliefs that will cause us to take action in the ways we want, in the ways that will benefit us.

The answer to the question about what Robbins has in common with Peale, and Waitley is that they were all greatly influenced by “As A Man Thinketh.”  Were you looking for a more profound answer?  Alright, they were all profoundly influenced by “As A Man Thinketh” as many thousands or millions have been.

Read and listen to “As A Man Thinketh” there is a free downloadable audio and ebook from the links on this site.

“As A Man Thinketh” James Allen is sometimes called “As A Man Thinks.”

Mornings With The Science Of Getting Rich: Picture The Flow of Life

March 29th, 2009 by follett79

Today is Sunday, a day of renewal, a day of beginnings.

There is no limit to the supply of Formless Stuff, or Original Substance. The universe is made out of it; but it was not all used in making the universe. The spaces in, through, and between the forms of the visible universe are permeated and filled with the Original Substance; with the formless Stuff; with the raw material of all things. Ten thousand times as much as has been made might still be made, and even then we should not have exhausted the supply of universal raw material.

If you watch the news regularly, if you are out of work, or under-employed it is easy to see a world of lack around you.  It is easy to see the circumstances and let them control what you are thinking.  To let the circumstance spiral your state of mind down.

Emerson says: “God enters by a private door into every individual.

Wattles teaches that the supply is limitless.  He is not alone in this teaching, if you are Christian or Jew your Bible says: “Before you call I will answer…”  That says your answer is here, you just need receive it.  If you are Muslim your Holy book says: “Which of your Lords blessings would you deny…”  I’ve always found that profound.  I have no experience with Hindu or other religions scriptures but I am certain that they too contain this timeless truth, that your needs are taken care of.

Let me switch for a moment.  Masard Emoto* had got advice from his mother after he nearly drowned in the ocean when he was a young boy, he flailed had around and was sinking and taking water in before his rescue:

…she gave me some advice based on her ability to swim and float in water: “you can float if you just give in,” she said.  She said if I let the water lift me instead of trying to resist it, it would pick me up and carry me.

Emoto talks about this advise coming back to him as he tries to gently flow in the direction he wants his life to take.

Emoto’s mother’s advise is good to think about in challenging times.  When you are in a constant state of struggle and resistance and fighting the circumstances then you are in the same act of resistance that Emoto was in as he was drowning.  You must come from that into a state of trusting.  Trusting that you will be lifted, that you will be carried to safty by the currents of life.

This is not to say that you do nothing, far from it.  The great faiths would have you pray.  And they would have you end the prayer in gratitude.  The stories of faith talk of inspiration and then the recipient of the inspiration acting out of it.  This is not struggle but it is being directed into the flow of life.

Jerry and Ester Hicks, and Abraham talk of going with the flow and not resiting by trying to go up stream.  But if you are constantly fighting and fighting then you are not with the flow and you are not getting the best from life.  When Esther Hicks channels Abraham they are always talking about the best for you being down stream and not where the struggle is.  When you are in harmony you will find your best.

The law of attraction is about these great truths.  Whether you accept any of the faiths mentioned or none, the truths they discuss are real.  So begin to trust, as if you were in water and could not touch bottom, trust that the water would lift you, that it will carry you.

There really is a limitless supply, begin to trust, visualize, collect ideas, take action on them in the spirit of trust.  Whatever the situation, don’t be the drowning man flailing aimlessly reaching for this, then that and never able to connect with any of it.  Trust - see the thing you want to see, hold it in the formless substance, turn it round in your mind.   Allow the ideas to come.  Take steady and thoughtful action.   Per Wattles: by thought the thing is created, by action it is received.

So consider the vision you want.  Consider what it would be like if you could be in that vision, the peace and gratitude.  The law of attraction teaches that you have just created the thing and to receive it you continue to hold the vision and the gratitude and you will get the ideas that will allow you to take the right action to receive it.   You do these things by being in the flow not by being in a constant state of turmoil and unbelief.  Believe….   See yourself and the things you want in the flow of your life.  As you trust and flow and believe these things become a part of your reality.  Your thoughts affect your environment…  this is faith.

*The Secret Life of Water copyright 2005 by Masaru Emoto.  Emoto became well known when his work on the affects of thought and prayer on the formation of water crystals was featured in the film “What The Bleep Do We Know.”  An earlier film about some of the same ideas as “The Secret” and which put forth the ideas of Quantum Physics as an explanation of the law of attraction.
